Scott Stanton has been a cybersecurity practitioner for over 20 years, with technical roles spanning software development, infrastructure, cloud, and security. Reporting to O&M’s Global CISO, he leads security operations, threat hunting, cyber incident response, and vulnerability management serving multiple business units in the O&M portfolio. He joined O&M in 2019 during its acquisition of Halyard Health, where he served as CISO.
Prior to Owens & Minor, Stanton held several architecture, strategy, and program management roles during his 10 years with the Information Security program at Cisco Systems. Stanton also served in technical security roles for Scientific-Atlanta, Coca-Cola, and General Electric. He holds a BA in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Albany.
A redux to last year's "Penetration Testing from the CISO's Perspective" talk, this talk will show you how to get what you need from your CISO! Whether you're an analyst, engineer, manager, or consultant, this presentation will give you insights into how the CISO looks at the security program and how to align your objectives with theirs. Been asking for years for budget? Need more headcount? Trying to get them to address that risk? Here's what to say or do that will help influence them!
